First held as a TCE-exclusive event in 2017, the Hankook 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS welcomed GT competitors for its second edition in 2018, doing so ever since. Held in its now traditional April time slot in 2019, the Hankook 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS has been won by four different teams representing three different manufacturers. As of Sainteloc Junior Teams’ maiden win 24H SERIES win at the event in 2023, Ferrari and Audi now boast two outright wins apiece.
Unsurprisingly, one of Europe’s most celebrated circuits has featured some of the most significant moments in 24H SERIES history: PROsport Performance bounced back from a first-corner collision to win the 24H SERIES Overall GT Teams’ ‘Europe’ title in 2018, while the penultimate lap pass for position between Scuderia Praha and Herberth Motorsport previewed one of the series’ closest-ever finishes in 2019. Notably, between 2017 and 2022, the distance record continued to grow, with 2022 European GT Cup champion Phoenix Racing the current record holder with 256 laps.
